This article is for existing clients who are experiencing hardship and would like us to review their account billing.
We recognise that individuals and businesses can sometimes face cash flow issues. If you need a payment extension, please review the information below first. To request an extension, open a support ticket with our Billing Department and we’ll do our best to assist you. We can usually grant an extension where there is a good payment history.
HOSTING RENEWALS
We provide a standard 10-day grace period on all hosting renewals. If you’ll be able to make payment within 10 days of the invoice due date, you don’t need to contact us — your hosting service will remain active during that time.
SERVER RENEWALS
We provide a standard 7-day grace period on all server renewals. If you’ll be able to make payment within 7 days of the invoice due date, you don’t need to contact us — your server will remain active during that time.
DOMAIN RENEWALS
Different domain extensions are managed by various registries. For example, Verisign manages .COM names, EURid manages .EU names, and Afnic manages .FR names. Each registry has its own renewal and grace period rules. Generally, domain names will stop working immediately after their expiry date, so we strongly recommend renewing in advance to avoid any disruption to your website or email service.
There are some exceptions. For example, Nominet (the .UK registry) provides a 30-day grace period, and .IE domains (managed by the Irish registry) have a 40-day grace period. We recommend you always renew on time, but if you need a payment extension - you could hypothetically renew these extensions during this period and there would not be any interruption to the website/email during the grace period.
Do not leave domain renewals too late because many registries charge an additional redemption reactivation fee.
